Twitter Blue Tick | Twitter restores blue ticks on celebrities’ accounts, Shahrukh-Salman including Rahul Gandhi’s verification badge was removed



New Delhi: Social media platform Twitter has restored the blue tick (verification badge) of many famous celebrities with crores of followers. A few days ago, the company had removed the blue ticks of non-paying accounts. The move assumes significance as blue ticks were removed from Twitter accounts of celebrities and politicians from Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi this week. Twitter owner Elon Musk’s microblogging site this week started removing blue ticks from non-paying accounts. Now, surprisingly, blue ticks are back on the Twitter accounts of several celebrities. Blue ticks of top cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli were removed but now it is back on their Twitter accounts. However, it is not yet clear whether these people have paid for it. The blue tick is also back on the Twitter account of former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. However, he said that he has not made any payment for it.
