These satellites will give information about maritime security and weather only. Yes, ISRO has launched the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) today i.e. on Saturday, 22 April, on its another big mission. This is the 57th flight of PSLV and the 16th mission to use the PSLV core alone configuration. This mission was named TLEOS-2. Know its specialty The TeLEOS-2 Earth observation satellite will also have all-weather capability to meet the satellite imagery requirements of various agencies working under the Government of Singapore. Its other satellite will be LUMELITE-4, an advanced satellite weighing 16 kg. It has been developed to demonstrate a very high frequency data exchange system. The satellite has been designed to promote Singapore’s e-navigation maritime safety and benefit the global shipping community.
