Chandrayaan 3 | ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 to be launched in July will have only 4 engines in the lander to avoid accident

File Photo Mumbai: The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is planning to launch India’s third lunar mission in July. Giving information about this, an ISRO official said that ISRO is also trying to start its first Sun mission in this month. Meanwhile, Aditya-L1 is India’s first scientific mission to study the Sun. ISRO officials said that the space agency is working towards the launch of Chandrayaan-3 in July. The special thing about this whole mission is that Chandrayaan-2’s Vikram Lander had five engines while this time only four engines have been installed in Chandrayaan-3. The contact of the Lander Rover will be made with the orbiter of Chandrayaan-2 moving around the Moon. This will make it easier for the mission to succeed. The weight of Chandrayaan-3 is also very less. One engine was installed at the four corners of Vikram Lander of Chandrayaan-2 while a big engine was installed in the middle while the big engine in the middle has been removed from Chandrayaan-3. Due to this, the weight of Chandrayaan-3 has also reduced considerably. Not only this, this engine was installed to protect Chandrayaan-2 from dust, but it has been completely removed in the new mission. To make Chandrayaan-3 mission successful, ISRO has made many changes in it. The removal of the middle engine has not only reduced the weight of the lander but also increased the cost. Similarly, changes are being made in the leg of the lander so that the lander can make a soft landing on the surface of the moon. Apart from this, Lander Doppler Velocimeter (LDV) has also been installed in the lander, so that accurate information about the speed of the lander can be obtained at the time of landing. Also read this incident happened during Chandrayaan-2 In 2019, Chandrayaan-2 successfully flew from Earth to Moon. He even reached the orbit of the moon. However, its lander software developed a technical fault and on September 6, 2019, it crashed while attempting to land on the Moon. Chandrayaan-3 comprises an indigenous Lander Module, a Rover. ISRO said that the lander will be capable of soft landing and rover deployment. Meanwhile, more than 9 thousand crore rupees will be spent on Chandrayaan-3 mission.
