CNG Price Down | Big relief to Mumbaikars struggling with inflation, big cut in CNG price

Mumbai: Mahanagar Gas has given great relief to the Mumbaikars whose budget has deteriorated due to inflation. The price of CNG will be reduced by Rs 2.50 per kg from midnight today. Mahanagar Gas has informed about this. Due to this, the drivers who are already struggling with inflation have got a big relief. These new rates will be announced from midnight today. CNG prices have been reduced in Mumbai and surrounding cities. That’s why now the price of one kg CNG will be less by two and a half rupees. It will be available from midnight today at the rate of Rs 87 per kg as per the new price. Mahanagar Gas has claimed that the price of CNG is 44 per cent cheaper than petrol.

Reduction in this rate will bring some relief

Mahanagar Gas Limited Company is distributor of CNG , PNG Gas in and around Mumbai. Therefore, from car drivers to rickshaw drivers, the reduction in the rate of CNG gas will be of great benefit. The rising price of CNG has spoiled the budget of many people. A reduction in this rate will bring some relief. Due to the increase in CNG prices, there is not much cost saving for the consumers by using CNG vehicles as compared to petrol-diesel. There was not much difference in the prices of CNG and petrol and diesel. This angered the customers.

Mahanagar Gas Limited had increased the prices of CNG gas in the month of November. The price of CNG was increased by Rs 3.50 per kg. After which the price of CNG in Mumbai has increased to Rs 89.50 per kg. So the domestic PNG rate was Rs 54 per scm.

Reduction in the use of CNG vehicle

According to a report, the use of CNG vehicles has decreased this year due to the increase in the prices of natural gas. CNG prices have increased by 70 per cent in the last one year due to increase in natural gas prices. Hence the difference in prices between diesel and CNG is very less and on an average the prices of both are similar. Hence the report said that the option of CNG vehicles is being avoided.

Along with this, fuel has now become cheaper in Madhya Pradesh as well. Here petrol has fallen by 30 paise and is being sold at Rs 109.70 per liter and diesel by 28 paise at Rs 94.89 per litre.

Although there has been no change in the price of petrol in UP, diesel has definitely become cheaper by 25 paise here after about 96 days. Similarly, petrol has become cheaper by 44 paise and diesel by 41 paise in West Bengal. On the other hand, talking about metros, the prices of petrol and diesel have increased slightly in Chennai. Fuel is a bit costlier today in most of the states in South India.

Google fined Rs 936 cr, NCLAT refuses interim relief

New Delhi: The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has refused to grant interim relief to Google in the matter of Rs 936.44 crore fine imposed on it by the Competition Commission of India (CCI). CCI imposed this fine on Google for abusing its dominant position with respect to Play Store policies. The NCLAT directed Google to deposit 10 per cent of the fine in its registry within the next four weeks. A two-judge bench of the Appellate Tribunal on Wednesday issued notice to the CCI and other respondents.

Now further hearing on the matter will be held on 17 April 2023. Last week too, the appellate tribunal had directed Google to pay 10 per cent of the Rs 1,337.76 crore fine imposed on it by the Competition Commission of India (CCI). The NCLAT bench had allowed Google’s plea against the penalty order of CCI but refused to immediately stay the implementation of the penalty, saying it would pass an order only after hearing other parties.

The CCI in October, through two orders passed in less than a week, imposed a fine of over Rs 2,200 crore on Google. On October 25, the CCI imposed a fine of Rs 936.44 crore on Google for abusing its dominant position in Play Store policies.

Apart from the fine, the CCI had said that Google should not restrict app developers from using any third party billing/payment processing services for app purchases. Earlier, the regulator had on October 20 imposed a fine of Rs 1,337.76 crore on Google for abusing its dominant position in multiple markets with respect to Android mobile devices. (agency)

Petrol is cheaper by Rs. 29.39 in Port Blair as compared to Sriganganagar, while diesel is also cheaper by Rs. 18.50.
