Powerful smartphone maker iQOO has launched iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition as its new smartphone in China. The device is the third smartphone in the lineup. Before the Neo 7 Racing Edition, the company launched iQOO Neo 7 and iQOO Neo 7 SE in China. The specialty of Neo 7 Racing Edition is that it is a performance focused smartphone. The Neo 7 Racing Edition is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. In comparison, the Neo 7 packs a Dimensity 9000+ chip, while the Neo 7 SE packs a Dimensity 8200 chip. iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition has been launched with multiple storage options. The top model offers 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It has been launched for CNY 3599 (approximately Rs 42,800). The device is also available with 16GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB storage options, which are priced at CNY 3299 (roughly Rs. 39,200) and CNY 2999 (roughly Rs. 35,700). The base model has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Its price is CNY 2799 (approximately Rs 33,300). The phone is available in Blue, Black and Monster Orange colours.
What is special in iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition
In terms of hardware, the Neo 7 Racing Edition packs a 5000mAh battery. The phone supports 120W fast charging out-of-the-box. Charger is packed inside the box. There is no support for wireless charging in the phone.
At the back, the phone sports a triple-camera setup inside a rectangular camera module. There is a 50MP primary camera sensor, along with an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor. The primary camera of the phone supports optical image stabilization (OIS). There is a 16MP front camera sensor for selfie.
The Neo 7 Racing Edition flaunts a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with 20:9 aspect ratio and a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The screen supports HD10+ and 120Hz refresh rate. The display of the Neo 7 Racing Edition is flat and has very thin bezels all around it.
As mentioned above, the phone is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. It is paired with Adreno 730 GPU, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage. The device is 8.5mm thick and weighs around 197 grams. Lastly, the phone runs on Origin OS One based on Android 13 in China.
At present, no information has been revealed on whether the phone will be launched in India or not. iQOO may launch the phone as a successor to the iQOO 9 SE that was launched earlier this year. At present, no official statement has come from the company.
