Panaji: Artificial Intelligence (AI) buzz is everywhere, thanks to OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s soon-to-be-launched Bard AI. In this, based on Artificial Intelligence, ‘Auras’ (Aurus) The robot named has been deployed on the beach of Goa. This robot is going to help save lives just like a lifeguard. The Goa State Designated Lifeguard Services Agency said Auras is a self-driving robot powered by artificial intelligence. This robot is based on AI system.
Alerts tourists
A spokesperson for lifeguard organization Drishti Marine said the AI-based robot was introduced following a rise in accidents off the coast of Goa due to the increasing number of domestic and foreign tourists. Coastal areas have seen more than 1,000 rescues by people in the past two years. Oras is a self-driving robot that patrols the water, alerting tourists and assisting lifeguards at high tide. The robot will also help in beach monitoring and crowd planning.

Moreover, the primary focus of this Triton Monitoring System is AI based monitoring of completely non-water areas. So that it can help the lifeguards by alerting the tourists in case of danger. According to agency officials, AURAS is currently stationed at Miramar Beach in North Goa and Bayana, Velsao, Benolim, Galgibagh in South Goa and Triton in Morjim in North Goa. Another 100 Triton units and 10 Auras units are to be deployed on the beaches in the state.
