And today once again Reliance Jio today announced the biggest ever launch of its True 5G services in 50 cities across 17 States/UTs. With this announcement, Reliance Jio has now reached 184 cities.

It is noteworthy that earlier, the company had started its 5G services in 16 more cities of seven states, taking forward its superfast and excellent connectivity. Then the new cities in which Jio started 5G services were Kakinada, Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh), Silchar (Assam), Davangere, Shivamogga, Bidar, Hospet, Gadag-Betageri (Karnataka), Malappuram, Palakkad, Kottayam, Kannur (Kerala). ), Tiruppur (Tamil Nadu), Nizamabad, Khammam (Telangana) and Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh). Jio recently announced its 5G connectivity services in Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.

At the same time, Reliance Jio has become the first and only operator to launch 5G services in these 184 cities. Jio, the telecom arm of Reliance Industries, had said that Jio users in these cities will be able to use unlimited data at 1 Gbps+ speed under the Jio Welcome Offer without any additional charges. However, the Jio 5G service is currently in beta phase, so it is being made available only to select users through invites of welcome offers.

Significantly, with the launch of Jio’s True 5G service, customers will not only get the best network but also many new opportunities for growth in the areas of e-governance, education, automation, artificial intelligence, gaming, healthcare, agriculture, IT.

Airtel’s 5G Plus is now live in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Siliguri, Nagpur, Varanasi, Panipat, Gurugram, Guwahati, Patna, Lucknow, Shimla, Imphal, Ahmedabad, Vizag, Pune, Indore and Bhubaneswar. Jio said that its 5G SA (standalone) network services have been launched simultaneously in 11 cities. These 11 new cities include- Trivandrum, Lucknow, Mysore, Nashik, Chandigarh, Aurangabad, Mohali, Zirkapur, Panchkula, Derabassi and Kharar. Jio has also become the first company to reach some of these cities with its 5G, which means Airtel’s 5G service has not reached here yet. These cities include Mohali, Panchkula, Zirakpur, Kharar and Derabassi. Jio Welcome Offer will be available for customers in these cities. This means that invited customers from Jio will be able to use its 5G network and data at no extra cost. Moreover, there is no cap on data usage as well. You can use as much data as you want.

Airtel-Jio did not announce 5G tariff
Jio is deploying a mix of 700 MHz spectrum and 3.5 GHz frequencies for consumers to experience 5G. The telco has said that it will launch the welcome offer only in cities where it has mostly covered all areas with 5G. Neither Airtel nor Jio has announced 5G tariffs yet. New 5G tariffs will come only when more users start using 5G, and the 5G handset ecosystem grows. So we can expect that at least for the next few months or a year, consumers will get 5G for free from the telcos.
