Then the new cities in which Jio started 5G services were Kakinada, Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh), Silchar (Assam), Davangere, Shivamogga, Bidar, Hospet, Gadag-Betageri (Karnataka), Malappuram, Palakkad, Kottayam, Kannur (Kerala). ), Tiruppur (Tamil Nadu), Nizamabad, Khammam (Telangana) and Bareilly (Uttar Pradesh). Jio recently announced its 5G connectivity services in Chhattisgarh, Bihar and Jharkhand on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
At the same time, Reliance Jio has become the first and only operator to launch 5G services in these 184 cities. Jio, the telecom arm of Reliance Industries, had said that Jio users in these cities will be able to use unlimited data at 1 Gbps+ speed under the Jio Welcome Offer without any additional charges. However, the Jio 5G service is currently in beta phase, so it is being made available only to select users through invites of welcome offers.
