Delhi: Whatsapp is a popular app on social media. Now WhatsApp has become a part of our daily work. Whatsapp keeps on launching new features for its users. WhatsApp provides many such features to the users which make chatting fun. The status update feature available on this is also used by crores of users daily, now the company has given a big update regarding the status. WhatsApp users will now be able to share voice recordings of up to 30 seconds of their voice as status. A new feature has come in the latest beta version of WhatsApp, in which apart from photos, videos and text in status updates, users will also get the option to share voice notes.
App needs to be updated first
A third microphone option could also be present in the status section with ‘pencil’ and ‘camera’ icons. After tapping this button it can be put into Recording Mode. This feature will be rolled out to everyone soon. The new option is available in the Status Updates section in the beta for Android version 2.23.3.18 of the messaging app. After beta testing is over, it can be made a part of the stable app. New features require the app to be updated first. If you are a beta version user then after opening the app you have to go to the status. Next you will see on the right side, on it you will see the icon of camera and pencil. If you want to share a photo or video, you have to tap on the camera icon.

To add voice recording or text in it, you have to tap on the pencil icon. After this a window related to typing text will open, where a ‘microphone’ icon will appear on the right side. After holding this icon you will be able to start voice recording. After less than 30 seconds of recording, you just need to tap on the ‘Send’ button and the voice recording will be shared as a status update. Only users who update the app will get the new feature, only those who update the app will see this recording status. Additionally, the background color of the recording can be changed by tapping on the ‘Color Tool’ icon at the top right.
