PTI Photo LONDON: Australia declared their second innings at 270 for eight on the fourth day of the World Test Championship final, setting India a mammoth target of 444 for victory here on Saturday. Australia scored 173 in the first innings. Got a big lead. Australia started the day at 123 for four and added 147 before declaring an hour after lunch on the fourth day. Alex Carey was Australia’s top scorer. He played an unbeaten inning of 66 runs. For India, Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets while Mohammed Shami and Umesh Yadav took two wickets each. Marnus Labushen lost the wicket in the third over, who scored 41 runs in 126 balls. He was the victim of Umesh Yadav’s ball going out of the off stump on his yesterday’s score. The ball is 44 overs old, with Umesh and Mohammed Shami trying to reverse swing. Ravindra Jadeja took three wickets for 45 runs in 18 overs.
