Paris: Carlos Alcaraz has overtaken Novak Djokovic to become the world number one male tennis player in the latest ATP rankings, giving him the top seed at the French Open. Daniil Medvedev, who won the Italian Open title, is at the second spot in the latest rankings. Djokovic, who entered Rome as the defending champion, suffered a defeat in the fourth round, which dropped him to third place. For the first time Spain’s Alcarez will be the top seed in a Grand Slam tournament with the French Open starting on Sunday. He will turn 20 this month.
