ODI World Cup 2023 | Floodlights to be installed at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium before ODI World Cup 2023
Mumbai: Before the ODI World Cup 2023 to be held in India in October-November, new LED floodlights will be installed at the Wankhede Stadium and the hospitality box will be decorated anew. Apart from one match of India, there is also a semi-final here. The Wankhede Stadium is one of the five grounds selected by the Indian Cricket Board for renovation and refurbishment ahead of the World Cup. The work has not started here yet, but tenders have been called to replace the floodlights. The Wankhede Stadium, the home ground of five-time IPL champions Mumbai Indians, saw seven league matches during IPL 2023. Only after this the work started here.
