mpl | Kolhapur Tuskers make Kedar Jadhav an icon player

Pune: Former India ODI specialist Kedar Jadhav has been appointed by Kolhapur Tuskers as their icon player for the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL) to be held from June 15 to 29. Jadhav has played 73 One Day Internationals and nine T20 Internationals for India. He has been a member of five franchise teams in IPL. He was also a member of the Chennai Super Kings team that became champions in 2018. “Jadhav’s leadership skills and immense cricketing experience will guide the team throughout the tournament,” the Kolhapur franchise said in a release issued here. Meanwhile, all-rounder Naushad Sheikh became the highest-paid player in the MPL. The Kolhapur franchise bought him for six lakh rupees. (agency)
