Ahmedabad: In the 16th season of IPL (IPL 16), the young player of Indian team Shubman Gill did wonders. Gill scored the first century of IPL in the world’s largest stadium i.e. Narendra Modi Stadium. Shubman did this feat on 15 May during the match played against Sunrisers Hyderabad (GT vs SRH). Earlier, Gill had missed out on scoring a century on the same ground. But, on Monday, he surprised everyone by playing a century. Shubman Gill played a strong inning of 101 runs against Hyderabad on Monday. With Gill’s century, his team Gujarat Titans became the first team to qualify for the playoffs. After this memorable innings, Shubman Gill described the God of cricket Sachin Tendulkar as his ideal. Also, Virat Kohli is said to be his biggest motivator or source of inspiration. Shubman is currently looking in good form. He has scored a total of 500 runs so far this season. He has been my role model since the time I started understanding cricket. I learned a lot from him. His batting, passion and passion for cricket inspires me. Sachin Tendulkar is also my role model and inspiration. Shubman completed his half-century in just 22 balls by hitting a four in the eighth over. This became his fastest fifty of the season. Gill and Sai Sudarshan (47 off 35 balls) shared a 147-run partnership off 84 balls. After being adjudged man of the match, Shubman Gill said, ‘I made my IPL debut against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Now he scored his first century against this team. I hope to score more hundreds this season. I am not one to remember my past innings. My focus is on the present. The happiest moment of the whole match was hitting Abhishek for a six because he is my childhood friend.
