New Delhi: A 2-match Test series is going to be played between India and West Indies (India vs West Indies Test Series) from 12 July. Before the start of this series, the Indian team has started its preparations. The Indian team is playing warm-up matches on 5 and 6 July. In this match, the young batsman of the Indian team Yashasvi Jaiswal has started showing wonders with his bat. In the two-day practice match being played in the West Indies, Virat Kohli was dismissed after scoring just 3 runs. But, Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal played half-century innings. Rohit Sharma is looking in good form in the practice match. He returned to the pavilion after scoring a half-century. After seeing the partnership of Rohit and Yashasvi, it is believed that the Indian team has found a new opening pair. ALSO READ: Cheteshwar Pujara has been dropped from the squad for the West Indies series. That’s why Shubman Gill can be sent to bat at number 3 in his place. This will give young Yashasvi Jaiswal an opportunity to showcase his talent. The Indian team has two options Shubman Gill opens for the Indian team in all formats. But Shubman Gill has not got that much success in Tests as compared to T20 and ODIs. In such a situation, there is a chance to be tested as Jaiswal in Test cricket. Both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rituraj Gaikwad have been selected in Team India for the Test series. Shubman Gill will replace Cheteshwar Pujara. Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane will bat at number 4-5.
