New Delhi: According to news agency ANI, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced major changes in the rules of the game, which will come into effect from June 1. The change in the playing conditions of international matches came after the ICC Chief Executives’ Committee ratified the recommendations of the Ganguly-led men’s cricket committee, which was also endorsed by the women’s cricket committee. The on-field umpires will consult the TV umpire before taking any decision.” Other important regulations include mandatory helmet protection in international cricket for high injury-risk situations.
