Faith Kipyegon | Kenyan sprinter sets new world record in women’s 1500m

Florence (Italy): Faith Kipyegon of Kenya set a new world record in the women’s 1,500 meters at the Golden Gala Athletics (Diamond League) competition. Kipyegon clocked 3:49.11 to set a world record in the Diamond League event on Friday. Also read She has become the first female athlete in the world to clock less than three minutes and 50 seconds in this race. Two-time Olympic champion and two-time world champion Kipyegon broke the record of 3:50.07 set by Ethiopia’s Genzebe Dibaba in 2015.
