Adelaide: The Indian women’s hockey team will focus on strengthening their defense and not conceding goals easily in their two matches against Australia A. Team India played three matches against Australia, out of which they lost 2-4 and 2-3 in the first two matches. He drew the third match 1-1. The Indian team will now play the last two matches of the tour against Australia A on Thursday and Saturday. The Indian team is on this tour as part of their preparations for the upcoming Asian Games and vice-captain Deep Grace Ekka said a strong defense is key to the team’s success. Ekka said, “Considering that we faced a strong team like Australia, we did well in the first three games especially in attack but we conceded a few more goals which should not have happened.” Read also He said, “So we will focus on improving our defense in the next two matches and would like to end our tour with a win.” The Indian team has so far presented a good example of its attacking game but it could not stop Australia from scoring goals.
