Wrestling Federation of India chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Sunday said he is ready to undergo narco-analysis or polygraph test to solve the allegations of sexual harassment against him. However, Singh has put forward a condition. Taking to Facebook, the WFI chief said, “I am ready to undergo my narco test, polygraphy test or lie detector but my condition is that Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia should also undergo these tests along with me. If both the wrestlers are ready to get their test done then call the press and announce and I promise them that I am also ready for it. The message further said, “I stand by my word even today and promise the countrymen to stand by it forever. Raghukul’s tradition has always been there, life may go but promise may not go. Jai Shri Ram.” WFI chief and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh says that he is ready for the polygraph test if the same test of wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia is also conducted along with his test. — ANI (@ANI) May 21, 2023 Demonstration of wrestlers has intensified and farmers have got additional support in Haryana. Today, during a meeting of Khap Panchayat in Meham, a resolution was passed demanding that WFI chief Singh should undergo a dope test and be subjected to legal consequences. It may be noted that the country’s well-known wrestlers are currently protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi since April 23, alleging sexual exploitation by BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh from Kaiserganj seat in Uttar Pradesh. Among the wrestlers performing are Vinesh Phogat and many eminent wrestlers including Bajrang Punia and Sakshi Malik. On the directions of the Supreme Court, the Delhi Police has registered two separate cases against Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on April 29 and investigation is on in this regard. The Sports Ministry has canceled all activities of the Wrestling Federation with immediate effect till the investigation into the allegations of the wrestlers is completed. (with agency inputs)
