Boxer Kaur Singh Passes Away | Asian Games gold medalist boxer Kaur Singh passes away, Punjab Chief Minister mourns
Chandigarh: Asian Games gold medalist boxer Kaur Singh died on Thursday at a hospital in Kurukshetra. He was 74 and was suffering from various health problems. He faced boxing great Muhammad Ali in an exhibition match in January 1980. He won the gold medal in heavyweight boxing at the 1982 Asian Games in Delhi. Kaur was awarded the Arjuna Award in 1982 and the Padma Shri in 1983.
