New Delhi: In the month of June, a series of 3 ODIs was going to be played between India and Afghanistan. But, now this series has been postponed for 6 months. After the Apex Council meeting, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has given a lot of information about this series. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said, ‘The series will not happen before the World Cup 2023. Now the 3-match ODI series between India and Afghanistan will be played next year in January 2024. Meanwhile, Jai Shah has also confirmed the participation of the Indian team in the Asian Games. He said, ‘The Asian Games are going to start in China on 23rd September. The Indian cricket team will take part in it. He said that the Apex Council has approved the Indian men’s and women’s team to participate in the Asian Games. Also read It is known that, for the first time, India’s men’s and women’s team will participate in the Asian Games. Earlier in 2010 and 2014, cricket was included in the Asian Games. But, both the times India did not participate. BCCI may send a men’s B team and a full strength women’s team for the Asian Games. According to reports, the BCCI will send the list of its players to the Olympic Council by July 15. According to media reports, Shikhar Dhawan can captain Team India in the Asian Games. Rituraj Gaikwad, Jitesh, Rinku Singh, Umran Malik, Arshdeep Singh, Rahul Chahar and Tilak Verma can also be given a chance.
