File Image/Google Cairo: At least 100 people were killed last month in clashes between armed fighters in Sudan’s restive region of Darfur. The ‘Doctors Syndicate’ of Sudan gave this information. The doctors’ association said in a statement on its official Facebook page late Sunday that hospitals in Darfur’s Jenena city were not functioning, making it difficult to determine the actual number of wounded. Also read The violence in Jena came after two rival generals opened a front against each other in the capital Khartoum. This fight also indicates that there may be incidents of violence in the entire country apart from the capital. At least 481 civilians were killed in the violence between the army led by Gen. Abdel Fattah Burhan and the Rapid Support Force led by Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dalgo, a statement issued by the doctors’ association said. He said that more than 2560 people were injured in these incidents. (agency)
