Significantly, senior Nepali Congress leader Ram Chandra Paudel was elected President on 9 March 2023. He joined politics at the age of 16. He holds a Master’s degree in Arts with Nepali language as a major subject. In 1970, he was made a founding member of the Nepali Chhatra Sangh, the student wing of the Nepali Congress. Several years passed and he became quite active in his politics. He also handled the role of acting President in the year 2015.
