Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Friday questioned the relief granted by the Supreme Court to his “boyfriend” Imran Khan and said its “double standards” have led to the death of justice in Pakistan. In a major relief to Khan, the Supreme Court on Thursday termed his dramatic arrest as “illegal” and “illegal” and ordered his immediate release. Khan (70) was arrested outside the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday and on Wednesday a court handed him over to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on eight-day remand in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case. . Reacting to the relief granted to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, Sharif said it was nothing but a National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). Read this too Shahbaz said, “When he (Imran) was present in the court yesterday, the Chief Justice said that it was good to see you. And he said this in a corruption case.” Addressing the federal cabinet on Friday, Shahbaz said, “If you want to continue favoring this lad, then you should also release all the dacoits lodged in the jails of the country.” May everyone benefit from it.” He asked why this leniency was not shown towards his brother former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and other leaders who were arrested when Imran Khan was prime minister.
