Islamabad/New Delhi: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has ordered the release of former Prime Minister and Chief of Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan, calling his arrest illegal. The court termed the former PM’s arrest as illegal. In a hearing presided over by Supreme Court Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial, the court expressed displeasure over the arrest of PTI chief Imran Khan. The court asked Imran to appear before the Islamabad High Court on Friday (May 12). Along with this, the court told Imran Khan that you (Imran Khan) will have to accept the decision of the High Court. Imran Khan told the Chief Justice that I still do not know why this happened to me..? I was abducted from the courtroom. I asked for the warrant, but I was not shown the warrant.
