The HC on the matter has come as a major relief to Imran Khan, leveling allegations against top officials and assaulting PML-N leader Mohsin Ranjha by workers of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. By the way, in both these cases, Imran Khan’s bail has now been extended till June 8. At the same time, Imran has also reached Lahore HC to stop the arrest in the cases registered during the violence on May 9. Today, during the hearing in the Islamabad High Court, Barrister Gauhar Khan appeared in the court on behalf of Imran. He requested the court to exempt his client from personal appearance. The court gave its approval to his demand. Here, Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court also raised questions regarding the arrest of Imran from the court premises. But he was told that the matter is currently being heard in the Supreme Court. Today, Imran said in his petition that the court should direct the Punjab Inspector General to present a fresh report of the FIR registered in Lahore on May 9 and thereafter. Along with this, in his petition, Imran should also give him protection from being arrested in new cases.
