Paris: Two of the four children injured in an attack at a park in France’s Alps region are still in critical condition. President Emmanuel Macron is going to meet the injured with his wife. On Thursday, an assailant injured four children and two adults in a knife attack. The president’s office said the president would be traveling with his wife, Brigitte, to meet the victims and their families. The children injured in the attack, aged between 22 months and three years, have been admitted in the cities of Grenoble and Geneva. It is not yet clear whether the President will visit both the cities. Government spokeswoman Olivier Veran said the condition of two children remained serious. In the gruesome scene, a man wearing dark glasses and a blue scarf covering his head can be seen with a knife. In the video, the assailant is seen waving a knife and chanting the name of Jesus Christ, while bystanders cry for help. (agency)
