Mumbai: An equestrian statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, known as the king of the people, has been installed in Mauritius. It is a matter of pride for the people of Maharashtra and the country. The statue was unveiled today by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Devendra Fadnavis has reached Mauritius in the morning for this program. Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Kumar Jugnauth also attended the event. The event was organized by the Marathi community in Mauritius. The Marathi brothers present were dressed in traditional Maharashtrian style. After the unveiling of the statue, a cultural program was also organized at Maharashtra Bhavan in Mauritius. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis interacted with the brothers present in Marathi.
