File Photo Mumbai: Tata Group has set a new record in terms of revenue. It has become the first group in the country to earn a revenue of Rs 10 lakh crore from any group in a year. There has been an increase of 15% in comparison to the previous financial year. On a quarterly basis, Ratan Tata’s close Tata Motors has become the 8th company in the country to cross the Rs 1 lakh crore mark, beating all other Tata group companies. The name of TCS, the largest company of Tata Group, is not even in this list. 14 major listed companies of the Tata group in which Tata Sons has a direct equity stake. He has earned Rs 10.07 lakh crore in FY2023. The revenue figure for FY22 was Rs 8.73 lakh crore. That is, there has been an increase of 15.3% as compared to last year. Thus, these companies have seen lower combined profits than last year. TCS also could not maintain this record. Profit in FY2023 was Rs 66,670 crore, down 10.6% from Rs 74,540 crore in FY22. The same year saw an increase of Rs 156 crore in profits due to the strong performance of Tata Steel. On the other hand, Tata Motors has also set a record. So far none of the group companies, not even TCS, has been able to maintain this record. According to statistics, in the fourth quarter of FY2023, the revenue of Tata Group has reached Rs 105,932 crore. The revenue of the country’s largest IT company TCS was Rs 59,162 crore. Tata Motors has become the first group company to cross Rs 1 lakh crore revenue in a single year.
