Bob | BOB announces 12 selected entries under ‘Bank of Baroda Rashtrabhasha Samman’
LUCKNOW: Bank of Baroda (BOB), one of India’s leading public sector banks, has nominated 12 novels for the first edition of ‘Bank of Baroda Rashtrabhasha Samman’-2023. announced the longlist of This unique award has been instituted to honor and promote literary writings in various Indian languages (included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution). Along with this, its objective is to make the best Indian literature available to Hindi readers through translation, so that the interest of the readers can be expanded and the novels can be reached to a large readership. ‘Bank of Baroda Rashtrabhasha Samman’ will be awarded to the author of the original work as well as its Hindi translator. The original author of the winning work and its Hindi translator will be given an honorarium of Rs 21 lakh and Rs 15 lakh respectively. Apart from this, the original authors and their Hindi translators of other 5 selected best works will be given honorarium of Rs.3.00 lakh and Rs.2.00 lakh respectively.
