Aaditya Thackeray ignored sangli during the reconstruction of the Shiv Sena party tour

Digambar Shinde

Said: After the rebellion in Shiv Sena, youth leader Aditya Thackeray has taken out a loyalty yatra to rebuild the party and communicate with the workers. Due to the lack of communication, while many office bearers were waiting for the Shinde group from Sangli MLA Anil Babar, there was no communication even during this contact yatra. Aditya Thackeray again turned his back on Sangli despite coming just twelve kilometers across the river. After completing the two-day tour of Kolhapur, he directly reached Karad by a crooked route. Finally, the rest of the army leaders of the district welcomed Thackeray at Waghwadi Phata after covering a distance of about 50 kilometers and managed to maintain the existence of the Yatra in the district.

The effect of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde starting a political life with the BJP by setting up a separate hearth also affected the Shiv Sena in the district. Former district chief Anand Pawar joined the Shinde faction. The Shiv Sena in Sangli, which was already weak, has become even weaker as the party’s sole MLA, Anil Babar, has decided to stay with Chief Minister Shinde. District Chief Sanjay Vibhute has decided to stay with Thackeray, while Abhijit Patil, former Zilla Parishad member of Chikurde, has been directly entrusted with the responsibility of the four assembly constituencies to bridge the gap created in the party in the western region due to Pawar’s departure.

Shiv Sena’s strength in the district was only because of Babar, who was the only MLA. Three members of Zilla Parishad were made from their own group. Now the situation of Shiv Sena in Khanapur has become more difficult as the Babar group has joined the Shinde group. Sanjay Vibhute, who lost the assembly election from Palus-Kadegaon constituency, has been entrusted with the responsibility of taking over the faltering command of the Thackeray group.

Youth leader and former minister Aditya Thackeray has taken out a loyalty yatra to stop the ongoing downfall under Shiv Sena. During this tour, he visited the constituencies of the rebels and held meetings and criticized the rebels. Public meetings of Thackeray were held at Azra, Kolhapur. As Jaisingpur was only 12 km from Sangli, they bypassed Sangli and directly reached Malkapur near Karad.

Despite the excitement about Thackeray’s visit in the district, his turning his back on Sangli has become a topic of political discussion. Rebel MLA Babar is from Khanapur on the other hand Shiv Sainiks are upset due to factionalism. In such a situation, a visit to Sangli was expected to give strength to the Shiv Sainiks. However, the reason behind Thackeray’s exclusion of Sangli is being questioned. In the municipal elections, Shiv Sena did not see much impact even by fighting alone. With the Babar group joining the Shinde group, Shiv Sena should not have much hope in the Zilla Parishad, Panchayat Samiti elections. As the corporator in Islampur, Ashta municipality joined the Shinde group, there has been a discussion that the Thackeray group does not see much expectation from the Sena workers in the district.
