Davos, May 24 : The MVA government has made great strides for the state at the Davos Economic Council Switzerland 2022 in Switzerland. An investment agreement of Rs 50,000 crore has been signed for Maharashtra in the power generation sector. A total of Rs 80,000 crore investment agreement has been signed in three days. Maharashtra’s performance for the third day in a row at the World Economic Forum in Davos was excellent. Today, an agreement worth Rs 50,000 crore was signed in the power generation sector. As a result, contracts worth about Rs 30,000 crore have been completed in three days. Industry Minister Subhash Desai, Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray and Energy Minister Nitin Raut were present on the occasion. Renew Power Company has entered into an agreement with the state government to invest Rs 50,000 crore in power generation. Director of the company Sumant Sinha was present. This will generate 10 to 12 thousand megawatts of energy in the state. In addition, Indonesia’s Asia Pulp and Paper Company today signed an agreement for an investment of about 1.5 billion USD in Raigad district. Apart from this, discussions were also held with Anil Agarwal, Director, Vedanta Group. Discussions were held with Jay Galla, Director, Amara Raja Group on batteries required for electric vehicles. Meanwhile, the state government entered into a memorandum of understanding with Baijus to introduce digital content in schools in remote areas of the state and in municipal schools in Mumbai. Mumbai Municipal Commissioner Iqbal Singh Chahal, Secretary (School Education) Ranjit Singh Deol and founders of Baijus Baiju Rabindran and Divya Rabindran were present on the occasion. In addition, the state signed a cooperation agreement with the World Green Building Council to exchange knowledge and help the state achieve its zero emission target.
