New Delhi, December 11: The corona virus, which was seized a few months ago, has once again raised concerns. The situation has once again become alarming after the discovery of the Omicron variant of the Corona. The Omicron variant is spread across five states in India and a total of 32 cases have been reported so far. Meanwhile, it is reassuring to know that in all the cases, mild symptoms were predominant. According to the health ministry, two new cases have been reported in Jamnagar in Gujarat and seven in Maharashtra.

Love Agarwal, joint secretary in the Union Ministry of Health, said that in order to protect oneself and those around oneself from Kovid-19, one should follow the Kovid protocol.

Of all the variants, the omicron variant has less than 0.04 per cent cases, he said. Mild symptoms have been reported in all cases. Medically, Omicron does not yet emphasize the healthcare system. But caution is needed.

Maharashtra the most sick

So far, Maharashtra (17) and Rajasthan have recorded the highest number of 9 om micron patients. There are three such cases in Gujarat, two in Karnataka and one in Delhi. Last week, 52% of the total cases were reported in Kerala. Kerala and Maharashtra are the only two states with less than 10,000 daily cases and more than 10,000 active cases for 14 consecutive days. The first omecron-infected patient in Pune is corona-free. Of course, this news has brought a great relief to the whole of Maharashtra along with the people of Pune. The patient had gone to Finland between 18 and 25 November. After that he had returned to Pune. On November 29, his Omicron report came back positive. He was in institutional quarantine with no symptoms. His corona was tested again after 10 days and his report was negative. Although Kovid’s report was negative, he will be kept under observation for the next 7 days as a precaution.
