Frightening statistics about Omycron are coming out from all over the world. In Europe, the omicron has literally taken off. Starting from South Africa, Omycron has spread to India and is spreading rapidly. Thousands of patients have been infected with omecron in India so far. The Omaicron is spreading almost three times faster than the Delta variant, so Central Governments around the world have warned all systems and the public. This has further increased the concern of researchers. There are three sub-lineage or strains of variants of Omaicron, BA.1 (BA), BA.2 (BA.2) and BA3 (BA.3). Until now, the BA.1 strain has been making waves in Britain. But now it has been observed that BA.2 strain has been introduced in Britain. The BA.2 strain is the fastest spreading type of omecron. According to the British newspaper Daily Express, the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) has succeeded in identifying 53 sequences of omicron in the UK. According to the UKHSA, 53 cases of Omaicron’s BA.2 strain have been reported in the UK.

Although BA.2 spreads rapidly, its symptoms are not severe. Moreover, its prevalence among senior citizens is low, the UKHSA explained. The BA.2 strain has 53 sequences and is highly transmissible. It has no specific mutations, so it can be easily distinguished from the Delta variant. According to the research agency, it is not yet fully proven whether the BA.2 strain is more dangerous. However, there is talk in Britain that this strain is more contagious and more deadly. The Omycron strain was found in Israel a few days before it was spotted in Britain. According to The Times of Israel, a total of 20 cases of BA.2 have been reported there.

Omicron’s BA.2 strain has been found in many countries

According to a report, BA.2 strain has reached many countries so far. Its patients have been found in Denmark, Australia, Canada, China, India and Singapore. According to the World Health Organization, a total of three strains of the omicron variant have been found so far. Of these, the spike proteins of BA.1 and BA.3 have 69 to 70 deletions, while BA.2 does not. The Indian SARS Cove 2 Genomic Consortium (INSACOG) is responsible for studying the genomic sequencing of corona viruses in India. It has 38 laboratories across the country. According to Insakog, the BA.1 train of the Omicron variant (B.11.529) is currently spreading rapidly across the country. In Maharashtra, it has replaced Delta.
