More than 15 crore workers registered on e-labor portal

The number of workers registered on the e-labor portal has crossed 15 crore. According to the latest figures released on Tuesday (December 28), more than 15.31 crore workers across the country have received e-labor cards. The country has the highest percentage of young workers in terms of enrollment. Out of the total registered workers, 61.09 per cent are in the age group of 18-40 years and the lowest 4.16 per cent are adolescents in the age group of 16-18 years.
Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of registrations. More than 4.47 crore people have registered there. Until a few days ago, two and a half crore workers were registered there; But in just 15 days after the Yogi government announced to pay Rs 500 per month, the number has reached 4,47,10,855. West Bengal ranks second. So far, 2,32,99,238 workers have been registered in Bengal. Bihar ranks third and Odisha fourth with Rs 1,46,99,641 crore.
Workers joining the e-labor portal also get insurance up to Rs 2 lakh under PM Suraksha Bima Yojana. In particular, there is no need to pay premium for insurance. Under this a grant of Rs. 2 lakhs in case of accidental death or permanent disability and Rs. 1 lakhs in case of partial disability is given. Also various social security benefits will be distributed through e-labor. If a worker does not have Aadhaar linked mobile number, then the worker can register by visiting the nearest CSC center through biometric verification. You can also call the helpdesk number directly. After verifying your credentials, your mobile number will be updated on the e-labor portal. Or you can visit the e-labor portal or the nearest CSC / SSK center to update your mobile number.
