In the 4th Test against England (India vs England 4th Test), Rishabh Pant and Shardul Thakur’s batting has put Team India in a strong position. By the fourth day’s tea, India’s score was 445/8, taking India’s lead to 346 runs. Jaspreet Bumrah is on 19 and Umesh Yadav is on 13. The Indian team was in trouble after Virat Kohli’s wicket, but there was a 100-run partnership between Pant and Thakur. Shardul Thakur was dismissed for 60 and Rishabh Pant for 50. This is Shardul Thakur’s second half century in this Test. Joe Root took the wicket of Shardul Thakur and Moin Ali took the wicket of Rishabh Pant. India lost three crucial wickets in the opening session of the fourth day. At the break of the first session, India’s score was 329/6. In the first session, India lost Ravindra Jadeja, Ajinkya Rahane and Virat Kohli. Jadeja and Ajinkya Rahane were dismissed by Vokes, while Virat was sent to the pavilion by Moin. Jadeja was dismissed for 17, Ajinkya for zero and Virat for 44.

On the third day of the match, Rohit Sharma scored a scintillating century while Cheteshwar Pujara also scored a half century. Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 127 while Pujara was dismissed for 61. Ollie Robinson took two wickets in the same over after England took the new ball. The two had a 150-run partnership. Earlier, Rohit had an 83-run opening partnership with KL Rahul. James Anderson sent KL Rahul back. On the third day, the England bowlers struggled to take wickets, but the new ball hit Team India. Now this new ball is still only 12 overs old, so Virat and Jadeja will have to play cautiously in the beginning.
