Headingley, August 26: Team India (India vs England Third Test) started badly in the third Test against England. The decision to bat after winning the toss on the first day came in the hands of Team India. India were all out for 78 in just 40 overs. Both England openers then went on to score 120 without losing a wicket, giving England a 42-run lead. Haseeb Hameed is on 60 and Rory Burns is on 52. Now it will be a difficult challenge for the Indian bowlers to come back on the second day of the match.

After a historic victory in the Lord’s Test, skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first in the third Test. In the first over of the match, opener KL Rahul was dismissed for zero. After that Cheteshwar Pujara (1) and skipper Virat Kohli (7) returned. James Anderson gave India three wickets. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane tried to save India’s innings, but Ajinkya Rahane was dismissed for 18 before lunch. Even after lunch, Rohit Sharma went into the pavilion for 19 runs. Both Rohit and Rahane were able to score double figures. All the other Indian batsmen were dismissed for a single. India’s position was 67/5, but the next 4 wickets fell on the same score and in just a few moments India’s score became 67/9.
