Technical errors in the Co-Win portal have caused some inconvenience to vaccine registrants. What to do in such a time? Reality Check at Corona Vaccination Center, Mumbai
New Delhi / Mumbai, March 1: The second phase of Corona Vaccine was started by the Central Government from today. Individuals over the age of 60 in the country as well as persons above 45 years of age with other ailments will be vaccinated at this stage. Registration for eligible citizens for vaccination has started from today on the Co-Win platform. But there is still confusion in the minds of many citizens about the registration of vaccinations. There are also some technical errors in the registration process.
The Co-Win App available on the Google Play Store is for administrators, while regular citizens can register on the Co-Win Web Portal or Co-Win 2.0 This portal is available. The government has made it clear that it needs to be used. However, this website appears to have more than one error.
Online users are complaining that they are not getting OTP in the first phase of verification from the Co-Win mobile app for Android Smart Phones. This app is not for the general public, but only the phone number is required for verification before going to other details of vaccine registration, this may be the reason behind it. News18 tried out various options in the registration process for its readers. We tried several times to register ourselves via Co-Win Android Phone but, it turned out that no OTP came. The OTP verification stage also encountered difficulties on the online portal. Enter the mobile number for sending OTP here. It was seen that no process is going on beyond this stage. We would then try to use the webportal from different browsers and computers, each time getting an OTP number but the process did not go beyond the mobile number verification stage.
Registration is done on Co-Win Android App by mobile number. After entering the mobile number, users are expected to get OTP to successfully register as an administrator on the app. But at present, it is seen that OTP users are not getting it. We then tried to check if there was any problem in the registration by clicking on the Forgot Password link on the Android app but, even there we did not get any OTP. This means that the problem is related to OTP verification and needs to be resolved immediately.
