Mumbai, February 25: The number of coronavirus patients in Maharashtra has been increasing rapidly in the last few days. The highest number of corona patients this year was recorded on 24 February. The highest number of new corona patients was seen in these days. So 80 patients died. Even today, the number of new corona patients in the state is over 8,000. But compared to yesterday, the number of patients has decreased and the number of deaths has also decreased. This is a great relief.
According to figures released today (February 25) by the state health department, 8,702 new corona patients have been found in a day. Yesterday 8807 patients were registered. While 80 patients died yesterday, the death toll has risen to 56 today. As a result, the mortality rate has come down by one per cent to 2.44 per cent.

Initially, Corona was wearing Thaman in Mumbai, Pune and Thane. After that there was an outbreak of corona in Vidarbha and Marathwada. There has been a large increase in active patients with corona in the department over the past two weeks. These include Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Nagpur, Amravati, Akola, Buldana, Nashik, Jalgaon, Aurangabad and Latur districts. Although the districts that deserve the most attention are in Vidarbha and the highest increase in morbidity is in this region, the death toll due to corona has increased in Konkan and Marathwada.

Two new strains of corona have also been found in the state, but there is no scientific evidence that this may have increased the rate of corona infection, the central government said. Meanwhile, violations of home quarantine and social distancing rules and lack of adequate resources for contact tracing are the reasons for the sudden increase in corona cases in the state.
