Washington, Feb. 21 : A major plane crash has been averted in the United States on Sunday. The engine of a Boeing 777 en route from Denver to Honolulu caught fire shortly after takeoff. The plane was 15 feet high when the engine caught fire. But the pilot’s promptness has averted a major accident. The pilot immediately texted the control station and landed the plane again in Denver. The plane had a total of 231 passengers and 10 crew members.
The National Transport Security Board (NTSB) has formed a team to investigate the incident. The wreckage of the plane is spread over a large area. Police have appealed to the people not to touch the wreckage and not to walk in the area.
The plane’s engine caught fire, causing a single crash. But the pilot bravely faced all of this. Also tried to make a safe landing. Meanwhile, a passenger filmed a burning engine. The video has gone hugely viral on social media.

The Boeing 777 is 26 years old. It was powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW4000 engines. In February 2018, the engine of an old Boeing 777 also failed. Even then, a safe landing was made in a very short time.
