Appointment of Jai Shah as President of Asian Cricket Council | National
BCCI secretary Jai Shah on Saturday took over as president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC).
New Delhi, January 30: BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Saturday took over as president of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). He has been appointed to replace Najmul Hassan Papon. BCCI Treasurer Arun Singh Dhumal congratulated Jai Shah. “Congratulations to Jai Shah on his appointment as President of the Asian Cricket Council,” he tweeted. I am confident that the ACC will achieve great success under its leadership and will benefit cricketers throughout the Asian region. My best wishes for a successful tenure.
The ACC is responsible for hosting the Asia Cup tournament. The 2020 Asia Cup was postponed in June this year due to Corona Mahasathi. Pakistan initially wanted to host the tournament, but now it is likely to be hosted in Sri Lanka or Bangladesh.
